Arsenal host Liverpool in eagerly-awaited Premier League blockbuster clash at the Emirates
Prologue
Mikel Arteta's Gunners welcome Liverpool to the North London on Sunday afternoon in a mouth-watering fixture that could well have a huge bearing in the title race for the Premier League.
However, despite an excellent start to the season, the match comes at a bad time for Arteta's Arsenal, with injuries and suspensions starting to bite
The Gunners are again without influential captain Martin Odegaard as well as suspended William Saliba, not to mention most likely missing Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori.
But, a loss to Liverpool cannot be countenanced, even at this early stage of the campaign, because having lost to Bournemouth last weekend, defeat to the Reds would leave Arsenal a maasive seven points behind their title rivals.
The red half of Merseyside are flying under new boss Arne Slot, who has 11 wins from 12 games, having won 1-0 in east Germany on Wednesday night against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Date, kick-off time and venue
Arsenal vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 430pm GMT kick-off on Sunday, (October 27)
