Brian Sorenson's battling Everton earned their first point of the Women's Super League season after a hard-fought goalless draw against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Jonas Eidevall's Gunners dominated possession but failed to find a way through the obdurate Toffees defence.

Daphne Van Domsellar: 7/10 - Kept out Veatriki Sarri’s long-distance effort before half time to earn a clean sheet

Lotte Wubben-Moy: 7/10 - Battled bravely, including a number of important blocks. Substituted for Caitlin Foord:

Laia Codina: 7/10 - Solid and reliable

Katie McCabe: 7/10 - Fired over the bar with an early effort and tested Brosnan with a powerful second half drive. Gave way to Steph Catley in a double substitution on 77 minutes

Kyra Cooney-Cross: 7/10 - Always available to take and receive a pass. Subbed for Lia Walti with 13 minutes remaining

Kim Little: 7/10 - Metronomic Gunners legend never stopped working

Emily Fox: 7/10 - Thudded the bar from a cross cum shot while also fizzing a drive narrowly wide before the interval. Subbed off for Leah Williamson midway through the second half as Eidevall failed to continue the 23 match run of beating Everton sides at home dating back to 2009

Mariona Caldentey: 7/10 - Tested Courtney Brosnan with a first half drive. Superb work rate and hunger to retrieve the ball when out of possession, and excellent movement on and off the ball during Arsenal’s attacking forays

Beth Mead: 7/10 - Put in a shift

Frida Maanum: 7.5/10 - Forced a fingertip save from Brosnan with a powerful low drive and never let the Everton backline settle numbering five shots in the match

Alessia Russo: 7/10 - Engaged in a challenging duel with No8 Justine Vanhaevermaet and never stopped running up top. Switched with Blackstenius
