Second half goals from Mariona Caldentey and Rosa Kafaji helped Arsenal Women beat West Ham 2-0 under interim manager Renee Slegers.
Player ratings:
Daphne van Domselaar 6.5/10
Looked to go direct and long with her kicking. Watched Viviane Asseyi’s shot trickle wide of her far post and had to make a couple of late saves.
Katie McCabe 6.5/10
Got forward well down the left side.
Steph Catley 6/10
Started at centre-back with Lotte Wubben-Moy unavailable and went up against the dangerous Riko Ueki. An excellent tackle on Asseyi when she went through on goal in the first half.
Laia Codina 6/10
Challenged by West Ham’s upfront duo but settled into the game.
Emily Fox 6/10
Continues to be ever-present in the absence of Laura Wienroither, and is surely in need of a rest. Whether Emma Hayes will afford it in the international break is a different story.
Lia Walti 5/10
Dropped in to support the defence, between Catley and McCabe. Slow on the ball too often.
Kim Little 4.5/10
Has been a little off the boil in recent games and continued this rare poor run of form on her 350th Arsenal appearance.
Mariona Caldentey 7.5/10
Put Arsenal in front from the penalty spot with a cool and calm spot-kick. One of the best players on the pitch.
Frida Maanum 5.5/10
Found space effectively in between the lines but lacked support
Caitlin Foord 5.5/10
Swapped over to the right wing in the second half before being replaced by Beth Mead.
Alessia Russo 5/10
Flashed a shot wide of the far post after 20 minutes in Arsenal’s best opportunity in the first half.
Beth Mead (Sub, 59’) 5.5/10
Fired over from inside the box when the ball just bobbled up to the England forward.
Stina Blackstenius (Sub, 59’) 7.5/10
Almost scored immediately after being introduced, with her little chip narrowly wide from close range. Drove into the box and was tripped to win Arsenal’s penalty, before assisting Kafaji with a good run and pass.
Kyra Cooney-Cross (Sub, 59’) 6.5/10
Deserved to start in place of one or Little and Walti, and replaced the former on the hour mark.
Rosa Kafaji (Sub, 59’) 7.5/10
Came on on the left wing and added some fresh creativity. A superb first-time finish for her first WSL goal, meeting Blackstenius’ cross to seal three points.
Katie Reid (Sub, 90’)
Subs not used: Manu Zinsberger, Leah Williamson, Lina Hurtig, Kathrine Kuhl.
