Pernille Harder scored a hat-trick after Arsenal had taken the lead through Mariona Caldentey

Manu Zinsberger 4/10. Beaten all ends up by Bayern’s three headed goals. Will be frustrated to concede at her near post but it was a good finish by Sydney Lohmann for the home side’s second. Made a mess of Harder’s hat-trick, saving the initial effort.

Katie McCabe 5/10

Crossed for Mariona Caldentey’s opener and was lively on Arsenal’s left. Left Lohmann far too much space as the winger put Bayern ahead, but picked up her second assist to help Laia Codina equalise, whipping in a corner.

Booked for a cynical foul on Pernille Harder. Nodded home to equalise for Arsenal midway through the second half

Leah Williamson 4/10

Returned to the side in place of Lotte Wubben-Moy. Sloppy in possession early on and was part of a backline torn apart by Bayern.

A tough task against Bayern’s impressive forward line.

Lia Walti 5.5/10

Good in a congested midfield battle against the likes of Georgia Stanway, but Arsenal folded around her.

Didn’t mark Pernille Harder tightly enough as the former Chelsea striker headed in Bayern’s third.

Mariona Caldentey 4.5/10

Finished expertly with a cushioned volley to put Arsenal in front. Played in the number ten role when Maanum was withdrawn.

Frida Maanum 6/10

Links up effectively with Blackstenius but couldn’t really get the Swedish striker into the game. Replaced by Beth Mead in the second half.

Caitlin Foord 6/10

Started on the left wing, with Caldentey on the opposite flank. Lively in the first half but was replaced by Mead.

Looked to run in behind but had little success upfront. Came off for Alessia Russo.
