Arsenal defender Gabriel's 64th minute header is enough to beat Spurs and win the North London Derby 

Arsenal once again proved that North London Is Red by beating Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon. 

Centre back Gabriel's emphatic header was enough to seal a 1-0 victory at the home of the Gunners bitter rivals. 

Despite missing key midfielders Martin Odegaard (ankle injury) and Declan Rice (suspended), as well as new signings Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino (shoulder), Arsenal showed their character to post a vital victory that moved them to second place in the Premier League table.

Speaking after the match, a delighted Mikel Arteta said: “Instead of finding excuses we faced the challenge and played with courage.”
